Cool table

[edit]

A blocked user inserted this interesting table in the article but unfortunately I don't think it's citable. AryamanA (talk, contribs) 19:49, 23 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

But why did you remove it? Even if there are no sources, what is the likelihood that someone made this up?
Sounds like a lot of effort to pull a prank, not how vandals usually behave. If anything you could have added the template [citation needed]. 178.120.60.253 (talk) 11:15, 10 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, this table was used by me, and i used this table from a citation already mentioned, so I thought it was unnecessary to put a citation again, if you put it back, i can use the citation again. Thanks AngelicDevil29 (talk) 05:20, 23 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Remove the eart map as the earth map is not needed as all languages are spoken on earth and also other articles like Punjabi and Urdu only have the map of where the language is actually spoken 71.241.132.98 (talk) 10:49, 20 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. Bowler the Carmine | talk 19:23, 4 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Proposal to create a New Wikipedia Article on the Sindhi Alphabet

[edit]

I propose the creation of a new Wikipedia article titled Sindhi Alphabet , which will focus on the Sindhi Perso-Arabic alphabet. Currently, the Wikipedia article for the Sindhi language has a section on the writing system that includes tables of various Sindhi alphabets. However, the table for the Sindhi Perso-Arabic alphabet only includes the letters and their IPA values.

Many languages spoken in Pakistan have separate articles dedicated to their respective alphabets. For instance, there are individual Wikipedia articles for the Urdu alphabet, Pashto alphabet, Shahmukhi alphabet , Balochi alphabets, Khowar alphabet, Saraiki alphabet , and others. I would like to propose that we follow the same approach for the Sindhi alphabet.

The new article would include the following details for each letter: The name of the letter, Contextual forms, IPA values, Latin transliteration, Devanagari equivalent, Example words, Unicode code points. This structure is consistent with the format used in most Wikipedia articles about Arabic scripts.

Additionally, I suggest the inclusion of a section on rules for writing vowels, as well as a section dedicated to the rules of the letter “he” (ه) in typing. The alphabet table should include all the 62 Sindhi letters.

I believe this addition would be beneficial for readers seeking more detailed and organized information on the Sindhi alphabet, similar to other languages with a notable alphabetic tradition. I look forward to hearing your thoughts on this proposal! 87.8.88.243 (talk) 18:41, 18 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
